Speciality Coffee Photography

Black&White Color

Recently, I watched an interesting talk by Emilie Wapnick. It was entitled “Why some of us do not have one true calling.” In this talk she describes the kind of people she calls “multipotentialites” who have a range of interests and jobs over one lifetime.
So, I guess I am one of those so-called “multipotentialites”.
One of my many different interests I found in “speciality coffee”.
I even went to a Coffee school to attend a Barista course. I ended up working with my husband in a speciality cafe once a month during a period of one year.
At that time I also got involved in taking photographs in that field. I got several requests from speciality cafes to shoot their locations and coffee products. As it eventually turned out to become one of my passions I decided to start making photo series of coffee and related products.
To put it in a nutshell, it is nothing bad about to want to have more jobs over one lifetime than just “the only one”. Having many different interests can broaden your horizons. Furthermore it may lead you to find new intersections you probably may not ever have anticipated that they were possible. So, why not combine your different interests to create something new and unique?
